Leaders’ Summit 2023 Highlights and Key Takeaways

Reframe 2023 with Simpli5 logo

This year was all about reframing our perspectives – of ourselves, our relationships, how we show up to and approach our work, and how we think about the future. We gathered some of the best and brightest in their fields; those who push the boundaries and challenge the status quo to bring out the best in people and strive towards continuous improvement in order to provide you with an engaging and informative Summit and we must say, boy did our speakers deliver.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, “What would aliens visiting Earth think about humankind?” then you and Edie Weiner, President and CEO of The Future Hunters, have something in common. Our keynote speaker talked about everything from templosion to sharing practical tips for how we can overcome our own educated incapacity. Edie reminded us of the importance of transitioning from “mankind” to “mindkind” and focusing more on the capacity of a person’s brain and less on their physical capabilities.

Healthcare is something that affects us all, and it’s no secret that our healthcare professionals are struggling. Dr. Andrew Morris-Singer, Founder and Chair of Intend Health Strategies and Dr. Sarah Smithson, VP of Partnerships, Intend Health Strategies, gave us a look into the grim reality of the state of healthcare and how 5 Dynamics has helped transform their primary care practices and how they’re embedding it into the curriculum of future physicians to combat burnout, demoralization, and tension amongst teams.

No matter what point in your career you are in, you’ve probably given some thought to what comes next. You may have even asked yourself, “How can I design a career path that works best for me?” Well, Kevin Bishop Talent Leader at LinkedIn, can help. He shared how he has reframed career development at LinkedIn by making space for employees to dream (aka Explore) and achieve their goals in a practical manner by leaning into their natural energies and getting support from the energies of the people around them.

Heather Currier Hunt Global Director of Learning and Development and Associate Principal, Perkins&Will, gave an awe-inspiring talk on the importance of an empathy first approach to people and how she has successfully embedded Simpli5 into multiple organizations.

Susan O’Malley Global Head of Strategy for Personalized Medicine, Genentech/Roche, made us all take another look at how we’re spending our time and energy and challenged us to rethink how our organizations operate with a “Moneyball for Work” approach to help combat the feelings of isolation and loneliness many people are feeling despite being in almost constant communication.

Diego Navarro Founder, The Academy for College Excellence (ACE), shared inspiring stories of how his ACE program has helped underprepared college students understand their own strengths and take their lives to heights they never thought possible and the crucial role 5 Dynamics has played in that curriculum.

Reframe 2023 left us feeling energized and inspired and we can’t wait to see what the next one holds. Pre-register now for our 2024 Leaders’ Summit to stay up to date on all the latest news and information.
